Sue Schade serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts, a position she assumed in January of 2000. Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is a 777-bed nonprofit teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a founding member of Partners HealthCare System, an integrated health care delivery network. Schade directly manages the Partners Information Systems staff based at BWH.

Schade has 25 years experience in health care information technology management. Her experience includes12 years in positions of increasing management responsibility at a large integrated delivery system in the Chicago area. Following that, she led the software division for a start-up healthcare software and outsourcing services vendor. Prior to coming to the Boston area, Schade worked as a senior manager in the health care information technology practice at Ernst and Young.

Under her leadership, BWH has been presented with various prestigious recognitions including the HIMSS Analytics Stage 6 honor for its EMR Adoption Model and the CIO 100 Award for implementing the Balanced Scorecard to improve hospital performance. Schade was recognized with the ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT Leaders award which honors individuals who have had a positive impact on their organization through technology.

Schade holds an MBA degree from Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. She has achieved fellow status with both HIMSS and CHIME.
